CHESS CLUB

The Westside Chess Club is a fun and engaging after school opportunity for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students.  Through strategic play and competition students boost their problem-solving skills, concentration, memory, critical thinking, and interpersonal skill.  There are two clubs available tailored with one tailored to beginning players and one for 4th and 5th grade students with some experience.  Students interested in learning or honing their chess strategies through some fun competition are encouraged to sign up. Space will be limited.

3rd Grade Beginners Club:  Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 3:15-4:15 pm, from January 23rd through February 14th

4th and 5th Grade Club:  Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 3:15-4:15 pm, from February 20th through March 6th
