Our School
Established in 2001, Shoshone Learning Center (SLC) is a school of choice within Park County School District #1. Our fully accredited school provides students with an alternative to traditional classroom education and helps students overcome barriers to their academic success.
The Shoshone Learning Center is an accredited school. Wyoming State accreditation is conferred annually by the state board of education based on the recommendation of the Wyoming Department of Education (WDE). Enrollment is based upon acceptance.

Student schedules are flexible based on their individual needs as stated in their Master Learning Contract.

Monday–Thursday 7:45 am–4:00 pm
Friday 7:45 am–1:00 pm

Using a primarily online curriculum, SLC addresses each student’s educational needs through individualized programming. We offer both full-time and part-time programming that allows students to earn credit around their current high school or work schedule. As an SLC student, you can earn your high school diploma and have access to:

We expect students to take an active role in their education at Shoshone. Together with our success coordinator, students develop Master Learning Contracts to define their academic goals and learn to monitor their progress through daily, weekly, or monthly meetings. We address such issues as:

ENROLLMENT is CLOSED for this semester. Our next informational meeting will be Thursday, December 5th at 4:00 for next semester enrollment.
We meet the first Thursday of every month at 4:00 p.m. Due to scheduling conflicts, we don’t typically have meetings in April or May.
