Vision:
Parkside Elementary School will be the kindest and highest performing school in the State of Wyoming. It will be a place highly desired by students and stakeholders.
Parkside Elementary School is a two section school serving 204 students in grades K-5, located in Powell, Wyoming. Our school is staffed by a mix of quality veteran and newer to the profession educators. Currently 20% of our students are served by special education for specific disabilities, including speech and language. We are a designated school-wide Title 1 school with our free and reduced numbers around 65%. Our attendance area consists of students living within the city limits of Powell and also many students living in the county.
A HIGHLY QUALIFIED STAFF
Park County School District #1 takes great pride in its staff. The District’s teachers have a wide range of education, experience, skills, abilities, and professional attributes to provide the students of Park County School District #1 a quality education. All Park County School District #1 teachers meet or exceed the requirements of certification established by the Professional Teaching Standards Board and the Wyoming Department of Education. Additionally, Park County School District #1 seeks to employ the most qualified and experienced paraprofessionals available. Paraprofessionals are hired on the basis of educational background, specific skills and abilities, as well as work and life experiences.
Exceeding Expectations
We are a Blue Ribbon school that strives to be the kindest, and highest performing school in the state of Wyoming. Our testing scores reflect our drive and we have been exceeding expectations for the past three years per the Wyoming Department of Education.
